Slacking

I'm not very good at writing in this. I don't think anyone even reads it, which doesn't help with the motivation! As you can see from the photos in the Flickr badge up top, the nursery is pretty much complete. It's funny that I was so obsessed with getting the nursery ready, when she won't even be in there for at least 3 months. I plan on having her sleep in our bedroom for those first few months. Her room is located right across from M, who really doesn't need to be woken up all hours of the night. And I'm not really interested in walking across the house to get a crying baby either. This plan worked smashingly for M, so here's hoping it works this time too!

This past weekend we picked up some last minute items. We picked up wipes, a grooming kit, powder, pacifiers, bottle nipples and some hospital necessities for me. Then yesterday I started finally packing the hospital bag. This is much better than last time, since I never even packed it until the morning my water broke. All the while my husband ran through the house yelling "Why weren't we ready???"

James also got the car seat in the van (another thing we didn't take out of the box until the morning my water broke)! So we're light years ahead this time around!

As of right now, the c-section has been scheduled for 8am on October 18th. That means we have 2 weeks left! My last day of work is one week from this Friday. I actually can't believe how close we are. But being this close is just making me want it even more.

Now if only financial stresses were driving me crazy. My husband got his hours cut at work and will be losing 32 hours a month. That's very scary for us. I'm trying my best to stay positive. It's pretty hard though.

So everyone cross your fingers for us! We need a lot of good luck right now!
