Weekends

The weekend was nice. M had a few moments where she could have started to be naughty but she ended up making good decisions and was a good girl. On Friday night we had dinner with my family at my parents' house. We had a nice campfire and spent some time with my parents' neighbors as well. James decided to spend the night at my brother's house, which made M and I happy, as we could have a girl's night at home. So her and I cuddled up in my bed and watched Nick Jr until we fell asleep. It was nice to have some one on one time with her. She kept saying "It's just mommy, me and the baby!" I loved it.

Saturday we got up early and went to the local church resale that we usually hit twice a year. I was disappointed at the lack of items this year though. We ended up getting a couple baby items (no clothes, believe it or not) and some fall clothing items for M. I did manage to find a heavy duty plastic gate that will come in handy though. And the bonus was that it was only $4. The rest of the day was spent lounging around the house and napping.

Sunday we decided to go for a ride as a family and make a few stops. We treated ourselves to some delicious Culver's for lunch and went to Babies R Us to pick up some sale nipples. I managed to get the majority of the baby's bottles at garage sales (Avent) but obviously needed nipples. Luckily they have been on sale lately (buy one get one half off) and I had a coupon. A couple more trips and I'll be set. We also stopped at the pet store and James and M got some new fish for the salt water tank. They are just beautiful! She named them but I can't remember the names. They're always some variation of the name "Wanda". haha. Her hermit crabs are Hanka, Wanka and Wanda.

James successfully completed the first coat of stain on the baby's dresser. He plans on doing the second coat sometime this week. Which means I can finally start washing all the baby clothes and putting them away this weekend hopefully. I'm so excited, you have no idea! The nursery will finally be completed. I promise to post photos when I'm done. I know you're just chopping at the bit to see them, haha.

Today starts a new work week. But the reward for a completed week is a nice 3 day weekend. We're having our Labor Day/Baby shower this Saturday at our house. We're expecting at least 20 people! It should be a really nice day, I'm quite excited.
