I will be 30 weeks along this Saturday. It's hard to believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by. It's also hard to believe that in 9 weeks I will get to meet this little girl growing inside me. The nursery is about 80% done. We basically just need to finish the dresser, get some artwork, wash the clothes and put them away.
On a side note, I'm definitely not as anal as I was when I was pregnant with M. I washed EVERYTHING I got for her. This time around? If it's got a new tag on it, I'm not washing it. About 90% of the clothes I got this baby were garage sale finds so those are obviously going to be washed. But I did buy some new clothes from Carters and Old Navy that I have zero plans on washing. If for some reason she has sensitive skin, I'll go ahead and wash them. But I'm not going to give myself anymore work than necessary. Plus, I saved receipts and am keeping tags on until she wears them. Newborn baby clothes can so easily get passed up and not worn. I'm planning ahead. There's also that paranoid thought in the back of my mind that when I got for my next ultrasound they're going to tell me I'm carrying a boy. If that's the case, he'll be decked out in some very feminine stuff.
I plan on posting some photos of the nursery once it's done. I'm just waiting on James to get the dresser finished. So if you're just dying to see photos, feel free to pressure James into finishing it! My nagging isn't quite working. And this awful heat (almost 100° F today with the heat index) is not helping the matter!

I don't think its anal to wash baby clothes before they wear them. Clothing has tons of chemicals on them from processing and dying, so its good to wash them and get those out before someone wears them.
