School is going pretty well. I have good grades and with midterm report cards being sent out in 2 weeks, I think I will be pretty happy with the grades I see. That's how it usually is though. I do really good at mid-terms and then when the end of the semester comes along, my grades bite. This is because 1.) things get harder and so I have to work harder to accomplish that same good grade 2.) The new-ness of the semester wears off and I stop trying and 3.) I start skipping class. Yeah. I do expect Website Development to come up because I just made some very stupid mistakes on this last exam. I also forgot to double check my project in Mozilla and missed some problems there, losing 2 points. This grade will definitely come up. Anyway.. as far as I know, these are my grades currently (Some classes have percentages because they are kept up to date on Blackboard:

Advanced Visual Programming - 89.7% AB
Website Development - 84% B
Math of Finance Either - A or AB
Computer Concepts - 97.3% A

My main goal is to just get a 3.0. This used to NEVER be a problem (I was on honor roll and high honor roll all throughout high school) until I started college. It seems so easy to skip class and not care about your studies when you're in college. I have a hard time concentrating on school work and projects when there's so much more happening in my life. Plus it doesn't feel like school. It feels like, I dunno.. some thing I don't have to do, but am choosing to do. Does that make sense? Anybody else feel this way?

Anyway.. I'm having a major Clip-Clop withdrawl. It is currently down for a revamp and I can't wait until it opens back up. I never realized just how much I visited that site during the day. I keep thinking of topics I want to post and I go there and remember its down. ARGH! It will be worth the wait though, I'm sure.

I've decided I'm going to be Aphrodite (the goddess of love and sexual rapture) for Halloween. James is going to be a pimp, Renee is going to be a devil, and my brother is going to be a hippy GI Joe (don't ask, because I don't know either, he's messed up!). We are throwing a Halloween party on November 1st (James and David work Friday nights, 2nd shift, so we're delaying it by a day, big whoop!). I will send out official invites when I get more details!

Its almost time for class (Computer Concepts). I don't mind this class because it never lasts the whole 2 and half hours. The great thing about it is all the quizzes and exams are open book. This means I don't have to pay attention. I just look it up in the back of the book, its great. The last quiz I only got 2 wrong and had missed the class where she went over the material on the quiz. Not too bad for a 30 question quiz and not knowing any of the stuff. haha. Its great. The questions are pretty techinical and I think she realizes that if she didn't have open book, none of us would know the stuff. Its great. I'm definitely getting an A in this class for sure.

By the way.. you'll notice in the webcam that Renee gave me a mini-makeover. We were trying to figure out hair-dos for my wedding, so we washed my hair and styled it to let my natural curls take over and then she did my makeup, it was pretty fun. I wore my hair to school and work today curly and wore makeup. Its so much fun to look pretty. I'm usually very tom-boyish, so I think it was surprising to some people. Let me know if you like my hairy "curly" in the comments. I plan on having it curly with the sides pulled back in barretts, with babys breath in certain spots. It should be pretty, Renee will be doing it for me.
