Well almost $400.00 later and my front brakes are still shit. Apparently my front AND back brakes were fucked and my estimate was $677.00. Sure, do you take checks?? Fuck that shit. I did what we could afford, which was just the back brakes. From what I understand, my wheel cylinder was leaking brake fluid which was dripping onto the brake shoes and my drum was rusted and corroted or something. I know, I'm quite the genius. I was watching them during the inspection and I knew what they meant about the rusting and corrotion because after they unbolted "stuff" I could see pieces falling off. It was craziness. Anyway, during their "courtesy" inspection they found a nail in my front right tire, which would be why it wasn't holding air. Talk about a HUGE fucking nail too! Jesus christ. Anyway they recommend I come back within the next 30 days to get my front brake pads and rotor. Thats only another $330.00! Let me just pull that money of my ass. Oh well. I guess it was going to happen, my car is a 1996 and all the brake stuff was factory so it was time. It just bites when you only pay $2000 for a car and end up putting half that back into it, only for it to lose value quicker than a pair of shoes! No pun intended. Anyway.. I'm done bitching. Today was my last day of school for the week, so that makes me happy :) Now I must go make James some dinner!
