I have a husband now. Its so strange to say that. I keep looking over at James and saying, "Hi Husband." hehe. I'm sure everyone would like some details as to the wedding...
I woke up around 7:30 yesterday morning to shave my legs. The night before I decided to apply fake nails (which turned out looking nice, but hurt like hell). It was fun shaving my legs with those suckers! After that I woke up James around 8am to wash my hair (couldn't wash it with those claws). So James washed my hair for me and it was a romantic way to start the day out, haha. After that I blowed dried it dry, threw on a tank top (yes, a tank top in 25 degree weather), some pajama pants and my jacket and headed to the salon. I got there and talked to the lady about how I wanted my hair. I told I wanted it curled but not huge and started looking throw some books. She told me she had a great idea. I was really nervous because she kept my back to the mirror the entire time. But when she was done it was breath-taking. You can look in my digital gallery for the pictures (I'm too lazy to link them, haha). I got back to my place around 10am and hung out with my parents and James for awhile. Then Matt showed up and we all relaxed before the ceremony. 11:45 rolled around and we realized we needed to get ready in a hurry if we wanted to be at the Capitol at 1pm. So we hurried to get ready (nylons were not fun to get on with those damn fingernails). We left the apartment around 12:05 and made our way to the Capitol. We got there and found a parking spot arount 12:35, which was very good time. We went in and greeted everyone and I met with the judge to discuss everything. Around 1:15 or so we started the ceremony and in 15 minutes it was all over. I being the geek I was, took my shoes off 10 minutes into the ceremony (they hurt sooooo bad). Lots of people took the opportunity to take pictures of that cute move by me. James and I both fudged our lines a bit and James went for the wrong hand to put my ring on. haha. I rushed the line "With this ring.. yada yada" It was good times though. Everyone took tons of pictures, including one from Shannon (I need to get her to email it to me) of us kissing and me grabbing his ass. haha. Ooops.
After the ceremony we all headed to McGovern's Supper Club in Sun Prairie where we all had a nice dinner (tad bit of a long wait, but we had a large group of people). My aunt Sherry made a beautiful AND tasty marble cake for us and it was perfect. I have pictures of us cutting it, but I just don't have the energy to upload them right now. I'll explain why later. After cake and dinner we opened our presents and cards. From Shannon we got a 50 pc set of rubbermaid containers (yey!) and an 8 piece set of baking pans (even more yey!). We received over $600.00 in total for cash and $130 in gift cards to Target and Kohl's. My brother and his wife got us a very cool non-stick pan that we registered for and some utensils to use with them (plastic ones so we don't scrape it up). All in all for only having 20-something guests, we did VERY well.
We headed home after dinner to relax, change and look through our gifts. Around 9pm we went bowling in Sun Prairie with Matt, his fiance, Laura, and Shannon. We had a great time (I only had 2 drinks, my knees were getting a little too tingly for my liking and I had wayyyy too much food in my stomach) and Shannon gave us some beautiful pictures (black and whites) of the ceremony that she printed out for us. They're already in brand new frames that we bought today.
Today we went to Target and Ultra Diamonds and made a few purchases. Besides the wedding money we also got our federal tax returns on Friday so life is very good. We first went to Ultra where James and I bought our wedding bands. We didn't have a chance to get them before the ceremony so it was cool to get them today. The best part was the fact that we walked in, picked out the rings we liked and the ones in the case just happened to be the perfect sizes!! James got a beautiful titanium ring and I got a platinum band. With the price of platinum going up (its gone up 10% in price since James got my engagement ring) I decided against diamonds and just got a plain band. It gives my set a very classy look that I like very much. We ended spending around $450 which isn't bad considering what we got. After Ultra we headed to Target where we went through and bought the majority of the things off our wedding registry with the exception of the big things (microwave, entertainment center, coffee table, end tables, computer desks). We spent $413 there but have $125 in gift cards so we only spend $288 out of our other money. We got soooo many things!! It took too VERY full carts to get all the stuff to our car and the car was packed (and anyone who has a Ford Taurus knows those puppies have HUGE trunks). Right now our living is jammed packed with things. We just decided to leave things where they are because we're out of here in 2 weeks from tomorrow anyway.
Anyway.. life is good and I have a husband ;)
