I went and looked at the apartment today and I liked it. There were a few things I didn't like, like the size of the place. There are 300 apartments there which is a lot of people. The high speed internet access thing was a mis-print which really pissed me off. But other than that I liked the place and it was good size for a 1 bedroom place. I have an appointment Saturday at 1pm to look at it with James and see what he thinks. They will have a lower level available when we want to move in. The thing that bites however, is in order to hold the apartment you have to pay $140, 100 to hold it and 40 for a credit check. I didn't know you had to have a credit check done to get an apartment. But anyway, I don't know where we would get that money from unless we just started setting aside money. That $140 would then go toward the move in costs which are $1080. We are planning on using our income taxes to move in with like I said before and we won't be getting those until the earlier mid-February. We still have to buy the tax software which is like $40. But who knows, maybe James won't even like this place. I'm also looking at 2 other places which are in Sun Prairie.
One place is a 2-bedroom located on Main street above an antique store, I believe. It is only $550 a month and has recently been renovated. The reason it is so cheap is because I guess during the renovated, they had to reduce the size of living room, so I guess it is small. This is not a huge deal. We don't have a lot of furniture anyway. I'm pretty sure this apartment includes heat too, which would end up being cheaper than what we are paying now.
The other place is a 1-bedroom off the highway that is $599 + heat + $20 month for the cats. I don't know much about it, but it sounds nice. Its a good price for the location and a better deal than the place in Madison, especially if it has a dishwasher (hehe). So far though, the Main street apartment sounds like the best bet I just hope its nice and not ghetto. We really want a lower level, but if we have to take an upper level, we will.
I had two classes today Relational Database Coding and Object-Oriented Design which didn't seem too difficult. Tomorrow I have Advanced Website Development again and then Networking and Comm. 1 which I'm hoping will not be hard either.
