So yesterday I went shopping to spend my $50 mall gift certificate. We went to the Janesville mall (which I personally think sucks) and there wasn't much to choose from. I figured I'd go to Bath & Body Works and get some stuff there, but the more I looked at the stuff there the more I realized $50 couldn't spread itself very far there. I picked up some body spray for $10 and then some anti-bacterial soap for $5 and I thought to myself, there's $15 already. So I put the stuff back and left. The people were CRAZY in there too, pushing and shoving to get the best deal. So next I went into Victoria's Secret and left after walking in. It was a mad house because of the great bra sale. I couldn't even look at anything because people were being so pushy. After failing in there I decided to find Payless. My work shoes are falling apart and I have a little shoe fetish anyhow, so I thought I could pamper myself. I went in and didn't find anything I liked in my size. I wear a size 10 and it always seems to either be VERY picked over or all the cute shoes are in the smaller sizes. I found these really cute shoes but all they had was a size 11. So being the detective I am, I starting hunting through the stacks of boxes on the top shelves. I spot the shoes in a size 10, pull the stool over, climb and snatch them. *woo* I was so happy to have found them and lucky me they were on sale for $15, originally $25. So I get to the front and they have some shoes for $5. I find some cute looking tennis shoes but decide not to get them because I could get something else for $5. I get to the cash register and the lady reminds me of their buy one get one half off sale. Now I can't pass up a pair of $2.50 shoes! So I got them. So I spent around $19 and get $31 back in change. I was shocked that they gave me back cash, seeing as that was then not guaranteeing the mall money. So I decided to take the rest of my money elsewhere. We headed over to Arby's and had dinner. I had a chicken filet, curly fries with cheese sauce, and a cherry coke. I HATE roast beef, so I always go with the chicken, its good. They are a little on the pricey side though! After that we went to Target to look for a new coffee pot. The one we had was a $10 one from Wal-Mart that took an hour to brew 10 cups. So we got a really neat one for about $30 that has a timer, and auto shut-off, its a Mr Coffee. I don't drink coffee, but James drinks like 2 pots a day. Yuck. I was going to buy a digital camera at Target, but decided against that because it would have been all my money. Then I wouldn't have any money to go out on my birthday and that would suck! So we drove back to Fort Atkinson and dropped off Matt and Mel. I was so annoyed that they came with because they didn't buy anything. All they did was follow me around while we shopped. Its a bit annoying when you're looking at clothes and underwear. Ugh. So we got rid of them and I decided to stop at Kmart and leave James in the car. In Kmart I got myself some hair dye and some shampoo and conditioner. There is a dollar store right next door so I went over there and spent $10 on random things. I got some kitchen stuff, some shower caps (for dying my hair), a beer bottle opener (hey I'm almost 21), a cool picture frame, some cremesavers, and a few other things. After my adventure I hadn't even tapped into my hundered dollar bill, I still had a $1 left from James' mom.

Today I went to Target, Walmart and the Family Dollar with my parents. I didn't find much at Target because there prices are just too high. Things were on clearance but were still expensive. I ended up getting a cupcake mix to make for New Years and some toys for the cats. I spent $9 but that was out of the checking account because it wasn't anything for me. After that we went to Walmart and I splurged. I got a pair of boots (I wore those $2.50 shoes today and they hurt really bad), some socks (I got the wrong size so my mom took them and gave me the money for them because she has smaller feet than me), a shower curtain and liner, some star shower curtain rings, a mat for our tub floor, and I think that was it. I spent $44 but got $5 back from my mom for the socks. So I have $60 left. I just wanted to make sure I had at least $50 for New Year's and my birthday. I know drinking out can be expensive! There's no good deals around here! My mom also got me a cool new tea kettle, its all chrome and it whistles (some times the cheaper ones don't whistle) and it was only like $5.00.
